Unclaimed Property
Unclaimed Property is all un-cashed checks, deposits, bonds and physical property held by the City where the City has not been able to locate the original owner for three (3) years or more. Pursuant to Texas Property Code Title 6, Chapter 6, amounts over $100 that meet the time requirement of release, are transferred to the State of Texas Comptroller's Office by July 1st of each year, while the remaining population is retained on the City's books.
Owners that present proof of claim and establish their owner's right may claim the property by filling out the Property Claim Form and mailing it with required documentation to:

- Property Claim Form [PDF] - City of Leon Valley is committed to processing and paying all unclaimed property within 90 days or less. Claimants are required to provide sufficient proof and documentation to substantiate entitlement to payment.
