Chapter 176, Local Government Code

At its November 30, 2015 meeting, the Texas Ethics Commission adopted amendments to Forms CIS and CIQ, which were originally approved on August 7, 2015. These forms were adopted in accordance with H.B. 23 of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, which became effective September 1, 2015.

Please note that the Texas Ethics Commission does not have jurisdiction to interpret or enforce Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code. Prior to the passage of H.B. 23, the Office of the Attorney General issued Advisory Opinion No. GA-0446.

Additionally, Forms CIS and CIQ are not filed with the Texas Ethics Commission.
