Water Services Restored - Water Main Break at Watercress & Thistle

UPDATE 11:05 pm WATER SERVICE RESTORED

Good news! The damage at Watercress & Thistle wasn’t as severe as expected. Repairs are complete and water service has been restored to all affected areas.

A steel plate will be placed on the road today, and the street will reopen shortly.

Full street repairs will begin Monday.

WATER MAIN BREAK UPDATE 

Contractor is now on-site at Watercress & Thistle. Brisa Estates, JD Byrider (Thistle), and 5 homes on Watercress will be without water for approximately 4–6 hours (likely closer to 6).

Crews are working to break through a 20-ft section of concrete-encased pipe. The entire Water Dept. is on scene and going door-to-door to notify affected residents.

-Flaggers are directing traffic—please drive cautiously in the area.

 

Google Fiber crews struck a water main causing a major break with street buckling. The street was initially closed but now flatters are on scene allowing traffic to move through one side of the street.  A contractor is en route please avoid this area if possible.
