Public Notice: SAWS CIP Summary of Wurzbach Pump Station Replacement

The Wurzbach Pump Station, located at Wurzbach Rd. and Evers Rd., will undergo a major upgrade to replace its aging 7.5-million-gallon water storage tank. The current tank no longer meets state and federal safety standards due to internal corrosion.

What’s Happening:

• The old tank will be safely removed.
• A brand-new 7.5-million-gallon tank will be constructed.
• Improvements will include new piping, valves, overflow structure, grading, and electrical updates.

Timeline:

• Project will go out for bids: August 2025
• Construction is expected to begin: September 2025

This critical infrastructure project will help ensure long-term water reliability and safety for the community.
