The City of Leon Valley (Population - 9,239) seeks a creative, results-oriented executive to plan, develop and implement the City’s new economic development program. The Economic Development Director will market the City, coordinate redevelopment efforts, promote business retention and expansion and advance programs to promote economic growth consistent with City goals and objectives. Strong leadership, communication and facilitation skills are essential. The position is open until filled.

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, economics, urban planning, or a closely related field is required; Master’s degree in same is desirable. Requires a minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in commercial real estate, economic development, marketing or other equivalent experience. Certified Economic Developer is preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
